97th Dark of the Moon October 28-November 2, 2010 We arrived in the East Cape, hoping to equal or even surpass the group’s Tuna count of 136 in last June’s 96th Dark of the Moon event. We were in for some big surprises as we headed out the first morning.
The first day of the tournament proved to be challenging as we experienced unusual winds from the East and swell from 4-6 ft. to the occasional 6-8 ft swell. Hotel Playa Del Sol Oct. 28th – Nov. 3rd, 2009 For the first time in 5 years, the Tuna ignored us, as we experienced early winter winds from the north. For the good news however, every angler caught at least 1 Sailfish in the 2 day event.
